The Partner-N64 is a development kit for real-time debugging developed by Kyoto Micro-computer. It was released in versions for use with both Windows 95 and SGI workstations. The development kits included an specialized N64 console. The Partner-N64 cartridge is inserted into the N64 control deck. A parallel cable and interface card are used to communicate between the control deck and development machine. The interface card comes in ISA, PCI, and PCMCIA versions. The Partner-N64 has a socket at the top used for N64DD and SRAM development. The Partner-N64 debugger software supports software and hardware breakpoints, and has a register monitor. The debugger files used have .out extension produced by gcc.
